Vulture Mountains Recreation Area Construction Updates

The Town of Wickenburg is pleased to share the latest progress from Maricopa County on the Vulture Mountains Recreation Area Campground project. Construction continues to move forward on schedule, with crews currently completing grading, utility installation, and foundational work for campground amenities. Visitors to the area may see ongoing activity as contractors build out campsites, access roads, shade structures, and support facilities.

While the site remains an active construction zone, we appreciate the public’s patience as Maricopa County works to bring this exciting new recreation asset to the community. Once complete, the campground will offer improved access to outdoor adventure, enhanced visitor amenities, and expanded opportunities to enjoy the stunning Vulture Mountains landscape.

Additional updates will be provided as the project advances. For safety, please avoid entering designated construction areas at all times.
