- Electronic Application System: The Town of Wickenburg has transitioned to an electronic application system through Government Jobs and no longer accepts paper applications, or applications submitted via regular mail, email, fax, or in person.
- Current Job Openings: Information about current job openings and application submissions can now be accessed at Government Jobs - Wickenburg. Applicants will be required to create an account with Government Jobs to submit an application. Any communications regarding the position you have applied for will be sent to the same email address you used to register. Be sure to check your junk/spam folder to stay updated on any changes. You may also register for job alerts through Government Jobs at Job Interest Cards.

- Police or Fire Positions: If you are interested in applying for a position with either our Police or Fire Departments, you are required to register with the National Testing Network (NTN), schedule, and complete your test before submitting an application through the Government Jobs website.

Pre-Employment Requirements
Depending on the position, the following may be required prior to initial employment:
- Successful completion of the application materials.
- Verification of employment experience.
- Successful completion of background checks for federal, state, and local criminal offenses and motor vehicle report.
- Successful completion of a physical exam and drug screening, paid for by the Town.
- Verification of education.
- Verification of identity and work authorization; such as passport, driver's license, social security card, or other acceptable documents.
- Approval of employment by the Personnel Director.
- Successful completion of polygraphs (police department applications only).
- Successful completion of psychological test (police department applications only).
Once the above requirements have been successfully passed, then an offer of employment will be made with salary and start date information.
A Final Note
Sometimes it may take a month to get through the employment process. We know this seems like a long time, but we want to evaluate everyone fairly and find the best person for the job. Applicants are considered on the basis of their qualifications as required for the position they seek, and no discrimination is exercised because of their race, creed, color, sex, religion, political affiliation, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or any other legally protected status.
All new employees must serve a standard six-month probationary period or one year for the police and fire department. The probationary period is an essential part of the examination process and must be successfully completed to achieve regular employment status.
Applications will be accepted for current vacancies only until 6 p.m. on the closing date at Town Hall. All successful applicants must pass a physical, drug screening, and background check before employment.
Verification of Right to Work in the United States
To conform with the Immigration Reform Act of 1986 and the Legal Arizona Workers Act of 2008, the Town of Wickenburg must verify the right to work in the United States of every individual hired. In the event you are selected, you will be required to provide the appropriate documents to Human Resources. Failure to provide these documents will result in termination.
