Records

The Records Unit is responsible for maintaining and disseminating records produced by the Law Enforcement personnel of the Wickenburg Police Department.

Processing Time

It can take up to 7 business days to process a public disclosure request upon availability. All reports (except for accident reports) shall be redacted prior to release and are only made available when the case is deemed closed.

Obtaining Reports

To obtain a copy of a police report, photographs, audio, or video:

  1. Complete a Records Request Form (PDF)
  2. Payment Options
    • In Person: payment by debit/credit card or cash
    • Over the Phone: payment by debit or credit card
    • Mail: payment by check or money order made payable to the Town of Wickenburg

Note

  • To obtain an accident report, you must be a party to the accident.
  • Photographs, audio, and video are released on a disc.

Collision Reports

All collision reports after January 2021 are available for purchase usually within 10 to 14 days following the date of incident through Lexis Nexis. Collision reports prior to 2021 are processed through the records unit.

Per ARS 39-127, a victim of a criminal offense has the right to receive 1 free copy of their redacted police report at no charge.

Obtain a Letter of Clearance (Good Conduct Letter)

This letter, issued on official letterhead, will provide you with a local search of Wickenburg Police Records by name and date of birth only (not fingerprint-based). Letter-processing time is up to 5 business days. 

  1. Complete and submit a Letter of Clearance Request Form (PDF).
  2. Provide one government-issued identification (driver’s license, state-issued ID card, passport, etc.) at the time of pick up.
  3. Payment of $8 by debit/credit card or cash.
