Storytime

Storytime 

Research stresses the importance of early literacy as a key building block for a child's development and success at school and in life. Storytime promotes reading and early language skills in a fun, playful atmosphere. Storytime is a free, interactive program provided by the library. Activities include book reading, parachute play, songs, and crafts.


When: Every Wednesday

Time: 10:00 a.m. - 10:45 a.m.

Age Range: 0-5 years old accompanied by an adult

Cost: Free. No signups necessary

Location: Wickenburg Public Library

Reading ProgramSeasonal Reading Programs

Throughout the year we offer several different reading programs that encourage children to develop a positive attitude about books and reading, while maintaining their reading skills. Our reading programs invite participates to read and track how many minutes they read. Reading logs are provided to children and then turned in to the library at the end of the session. The conclusion of each reading program ends in prizes and seasonal parties at the library. Check back often to see what seasonal reading program is taking place.

BookFlix is a digital literacy resource center for kids containing over 120 animated stories from Scholastic Books. Fiction and nonfiction stories come to life to strengthen early literacy skills. All you need is your library card to create an account.
