Candidate Information - 2026

The information below pertains to the 2026 Town of Wickenburg Council Candidate Election and is subject to change by the State Legislature. 

The Wickenburg Town Clerk serves as the filing officer for Town of Wickenburg election candidates. In 2026, three (3) Council seats will be on the ballot. All forms must be filed with the Wickenburg Town Clerk's Office within the deadlines noted in the Arizona State Statues. It is recommended that anyone interested in running for Mayor or Town Council make an appointment with the Town Clerk, Amy Brown, to review the candidate packet and information regarding elections. Eligibility

To be eligible to serve on the Wickenburg Town Council, you must:

  • Be a qualified elector of the Town of Wickenburg
  • Be a resident of the Town or an annexed area for at least one year immediately preceding the election
  • Hold no other elected public office or be a Town employee
  • Able to speak, write, and read the English language

The following nomination procedures must be performed.

Candidate Statement of Interest

Before collecting any signatures the Candidate Statement of Interest must be filed with the Town Clerk's Office. 

Nomination Petition Signature Requirements

At least 147 and not more than 294 signatures of qualified registered voters of the Town of Wickenburg is required. 

Nomination Petition Filing Period

The nomination petition filing period begins 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2026 and ends no later than 5:00 p.m. Monday, March 23, 2026.

The following paperwork must be filed during the nomination filing period:

  • Nomination Petitions - Containing at least 147 valid signatures
  • Nomination Paper - Declaration of Qualification
  • Financial Disclosure Statement
