The Wickenburg Fire Department has proudly served our community since its founding in 1865. The department's first constitution was adopted in 1937 under Maricopa County, laying the foundation for its future. In 1976, the Wickenburg Volunteer Fire Department, Ltd. was officially incorporated. A significant milestone came in 2007 when the Town of Wickenburg transitioned the department from a volunteer-based service to a full-time, professional fire department.

Our Responsibilities

The Wickenburg Fire Department is entrusted with emergency response across the Wickenburg area. Unique to our region, we serve not only the incorporated Town of Wickenburg but also the surrounding rural areas as a separate special district. In total, we cover 88 square miles, ensuring the safety and well-being of both urban and rural communities.

Our Equipment & Team

Our department operates out of two fully staffed stations, providing 24/7 emergency response. Every firefighter is an Arizona-certified firefighter and EMT, with specialized training in areas such as emergency management, hazardous materials (HAZMAT), advanced life support (ALS), wildland firefighting, and technical rescue operations. Our highly trained and dedicated team is always ready to respond to any situation with professionalism and expertise.
